The suburban sanctuary: Elevating classic charm with high-capacity engineering.
Project: The Shaker Sophistication — Macleod
The Brief: Nestled in the leafy, undulating landscape of Macleod, this project was about more than a simple update; it was a complete structural revitalisation. The client’s goal was to replace an aging layout with a kitchen that felt bright, timeless, and—most importantly, exponentially more functional. The challenge lay in maximising storage for a busy household without encroaching on the room’s sense of flow. They required a design that felt "at home" in Macleod’s green surrounds while delivering a high-spec, ultra-modern internal storage system.
The Execution:
Concept: We moved away from the heavy tones of the past, opting for a Hampton-style shaker profile to introduce texture and architectural depth. To brighten the heart of the home, we finished the cabinetry in a premium white 2-pack paint. This choice wasn't just about aesthetics; the 2-pack finish provides a superior, hard-wearing surface that offers a soft, luminous glow, perfectly echoing the natural light typical of Macleod’s hilltop positions.
Design: The "brain work" on this project focused on invisible volume. To meet the client's storage needs, we engineered the joinery to utilise every available millimetre. We integrated wide-format soft-close drawers and bespoke pantry solutions that hide a high-performance internal architecture behind the elegant shaker facades. This allowed us to increase the kitchen's "payload" without adding visual bulk, maintaining a clean and airy atmosphere.
Install: Fitting a premium 2-pack kitchen requires a steady hand and zero-tolerance for error. Our specialist installers worked with millimetre precision to ensure the shaker lines were perfectly plumb and the white finishes remained flawless during the process. The result is a seamless transition from wall to cabinetry, creating a tailored, "built-in" look that feels solid and permanent.
The Result: A triumph of light and logic. The new Macleod kitchen is a bright, high-capacity hub that feels significantly larger than its predecessor. By pairing the traditional elegance of the shaker profile with the durability of a premium white 2-pack finish, we’ve created a space that is as robust as it is beautiful. It’s a masterclass in storage-first design, delivered with the Blueprint to Build precision that ensures every cabinet and drawer functions as a high-performance tool for the modern home.
